Ricky Dale Harrington, Jr. was born in the area commonly known as ArkLaTex. He currently resides in Pine Bluff, AR, with his wife and three children. Their two older children are on the autism spectrum. His wife is a member of the U.S. Navy currently serving on active duty.
Mr. Harrington graduated from Jefferson High School and briefly attended Kilgore College. At the age of 20, he joined the Adventures in Missions Program at the Sunset International Bible Institute and was sent to Scotland as a missionary where he served at a primary school and ministered to the needs of the elderly.
After a year on the mission field, Mr. Harrington returned to Arkansas and attended Harding University where he received a Bachelor of Ministry. During his formal education, he served at a psychiatric hospital and developed insights of the inner workings of our healthcare system.
Mr. Harrington has served in various pastoral roles and spent an additional two years as a missionary in China as a university teacher and university hospital consultant. In 2016, he took a position as a chaplain and treatment coordinator at the Cummins Unit in Lincoln County.
Mr. Harrington has dedicated his life to serving other people. He will continue his service of the people of Arkansas as U.S. Senator for Arkansas.
