8 oz Glass Muth Jar

The 8 oz Glass Muth Jar carries the same design history as the 16 oz version — the embossed sides, the tapered neck, the cork closure that predates threaded lids in honey retail. It holds approximately 8 oz (227 g) of honey by weight, or about ⅔ cup. The fluid volume is 5.34 fl oz, but like all honey-specific jars, it's sized and marketed by honey weight.

At half a pound per jar, this is the size that works for gift sets, holiday samplers, and farmers market tables where customers want to try something before committing to a full pound. You can display both the 8 oz and the 16 oz Muth jars together as a natural pairing — many customers who buy one size end up ordering both.

The jar seals with a cork. We sell the 8 oz Muth Jar Corks separately. One thing that matters: the 8 oz cork is a different size from the 16 oz cork — they are not interchangeable. If you're running both jar sizes, you'll need to order corks separately for each. It's the most common ordering mistake on the Muth line, and we'd rather tell you upfront than have you get the wrong size.

Glass jars are available for local pickup at our store in Birmingham, Alabama, or can be shipped via ground or freight. Shipping glass is at the customer's risk — we're not responsible for breakage in transit, but you can add shipping insurance at checkout.
