InstantVap 18V Compact Vaporizer

This InstaVap Oxalic Acid Vaporizer Compact is a lower-priced alternative to the Original Instavap but with the same heating capacity. It is designed to quickly vaporize oxalic acid inside the hive to kill varroa mites on the bees. 

It's an innovation in oxalic acid vaporizers. Building on the success of its big brother, the InstantVap 18V, this compact version reduces the price by reducing the size and removing the digital readout. It offers the same great Varroa product while maintaining the same trusted effectiveness.

When To Use Oxalic Acid Vaporization:

Vaporizing varroa mites with oxalic acid is an excellent way to kill mites. But like all mite treatments, it works better at certain times of the year and in particular situations. Vaporization is nearly 100% effective against mites inside the hive, but not in underneath the wax capping.

Because OA cannot penetrate the wax capping, it is most effective when a hive is without capped brood. This is during the winter for most areas of the US, after collecting a swarm, after a colony has sent a swarm out and during requeening events when the hive has a brood break. These are all excellent times to use oxalic acid vapor.

• Compatible with major brand batteries, recommended to use a 5AH or larger for best performance. Vaporizer fits slide-in style batteries. They do not fit post style batteries.
• Designed to work with the name brand Dewalt 20v, Milwaukee M18, Rigid 18v, Makita, and Bosch GBA/ProCore 18V branded batteries available from Amazon or the typical big box stores. 
• Avoid Dewalt "Powerstack" and choose recognized brand batteries for optimal results.
• The battery is not included.
