The Metal Double Honey Strainer is a two-stage stainless steel filtering system designed to clean honey during extraction. With both coarse and fine strainers working together, it removes debris efficiently while allowing natural pollen and enzymes to remain in the honey.
The Metal Double Honey Strainer is an essential tool for filtering honey after extraction. It includes two nesting stainless steel strainers that work together to clean honey efficiently without slowing down your harvest.
The coarse strainer (1875 micron) sits on top and captures large debris such as wax chunks and stray bees. Beneath it, the fine strainer (650 micron) removes smaller particles like fine wax bits while still allowing pollen and natural enzymes to pass through.
Both strainers are made from stainless steel, which prevents rust, maintains honey purity, and makes cleanup simple. The fine strainer features extendable arms so it can rest securely on a 5-gallon bucket or similar container.
To use, place the strainers over a bucket and pour honey directly from your extractor. The honey flows through both filters and collects cleanly in the container below.
For larger operations, using multiple sets of strainers can significantly speed up the process. Many beekeepers use two sets (four strainers total) when extracting more than 30 frames to keep honey flowing continuously.
