3' x 5' Flag of The Netherlands 🇳🇱 (often mistakenly called Holland) with grommets and double-stitched edges to reduce fraying.
✍️ The Design: The current Dutch flag was born from the "Princenvlag" of or Prince's Flag of the 16th century which was orange, white, and blue. Over the decades, it became red, white, and blue and became the "Statenvlag" or State's Flag. This makes the flag of the Netherlands one of the oldest tri-color flags in continuous use on earth.
The Dutch flag is the inspiration of the French tricolor flag 🇫🇷. It is also said that Peter The Great built the Russian navy on Dutch standards and as a result, made the Russian flag 🇷🇺 in a similar scheme. This went to influence the Pan-Slavic colors and all of the flags that fall within that realm.
The Flag of the Netherlands is almost identical to the flag of Luxembourg 🇱🇺 which has the same design but a lighter blue.
